Don Harrington started in the financial services business after a career as a teacher and assistant football coach at Kingswood-Oxford Prep. He received his B.A. from the University of Connecticut, and an M.S. in Financial Planning from The American College in PA. He is registered with the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA) Financial Advisor Program and is a consultant with the firm Post Game Financial Services.
Don holds the following industry designations and certifications:
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP®)
- Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®)
- Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®)
He was the 2016 recipient of the prestigious Will G. Farrell Public Service Award in recognition of his activities for his industry and the community in Los Angeles.
Don is a Past-President of both the Los Angeles County chapter of The Society of Financial Service Professionals (FSP) and the Los Angeles chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA-LA). He is also an active member of The Financial Planning Association (FPA).
He has authored numerous articles for industry publications, co-authored two company textbooks and regularly teaches continuing education courses for financial professionals in Los Angeles. He has also been a guest lecturer for the Cal State-Northridge CFP® undergraduate program.
Don and his wife, Kathy, have 3 married children and 2 grandchildren.
